Supporting Teenagers’ Emotional Wellbeing is a course designed to give parents/carers an understanding of the pressures that teenagers are under and how that may affect their mental health. Young people will go through a variety of changes, most of which are out of their control.
The aims of the course are as follows:
- To recognise & understand the changes that go on throughout adolescence
- To notice signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
- To learn effective ways to manage emotions and behaviours
- To have a good knowledge of helpful/unhelpful lifestyle behaviours
